
CPP (Center for Projects – Plovdiv) was awarded funding by the National Culture Fund of Bulgaria for the implementation of the cultural project “The Watchmaking Craft in the South Central Region.”
The project focuses on the research and promotion of the watchmaking craft as an element of intangible cultural heritage in the South Central Region of Bulgaria, covering the cities of Plovdiv, Asenovgrad, Pazardzhik, Haskovo and Stamboliyski. Planned activities include field research, the creation and publication of an authorial book (in printed and digital formats), a photographic exhibition, public presentations and an educational workshop for children.
The project aims to document traditional professional knowledge, raise awareness of local craftsmanship, and ensure its transmission to future generations.The implementation period of the project is January 2026 – January 2027.
